On the down again!

So the goals I set have been going ok. I ate out twice but ate fairly well. A HUGE feat for me was going to Sam's Pizza in Iowa City and NOT having a calzone. It was hard, and I totally had a bite, but I did it!
After eating well and working out almost every day, I am down three pounds since I came back from Arizona about 10 days ago. It has been helpful to use working out as a stress reliever being things are a bit stressful right now. Between working both jobs, never feeling like I have time off, and of course all the wedding planning, I need something to get away for a while, and working out has been that. Travis and I went hiking last night and having to concentrate on not falling on my butt after all the rain went through making everything muddy and slippery was a nice getaway from everything else going on.
So here's to getting down 7 more pounds in 60 days! Isn't that scary, 60 days until the big day! Slightly frightening!

Hello again!

Well hello again everyone,
It's been waaay too long and sadly not much has changed in my world. Last week was rough on the ol losing weight train. I spent the week in Phoenix at a conference and for some odd reason could not drag my butt out of bed to work out in the morning and after work, the pool just looked so nice! Eating wasn't TOO bad but could have been way better. The weekend that followed, however, I didn't have that much control over eating! Oh well, back again on Monday.
This week I've been REALLY watching what I eat due to working every night and about the only workout I get is a two mile run with my dog at about 9:30 pm.
Since these past two weeks haven't been so great, I've decided to set some goals for the week to come (actually starting today becuase I've read that starting in the middle of the week is better for goal-setting!)
1. Get a GOOD workout in at least 4 times this upcoming week ON TOP OF running my two miles (having a dog doesn't make this second part an option!)
2. Limit snacking that I've for some reason picked up again
3. Buy more fruits to have at home and work
4. No eating out (except on Saturday because we're going out for my mom's birthday)
5. Limit stress-Ive found that when I'm stressed I enjoy working out but I also enjoy sleeping and eating and they don't exacxtly fit into my diet plan so much right now. I need to try to de-stress every night. Whether it's a bit of stretching/yoga, sitting on the deck with a book, or shutting Travis and Bailey out for 30 min and being in a room alone. Regardless, this needs to happen more especially with my awesome students coming back to school VERY soon.
Ok so there are my five goals...I'll let you know how they go!
Peace!
